Authenticated code execution via dangerous file upload
Published Sep 5, 2023 · Updated Sep 30, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in TEF Portal 2023-07-17 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through an uploaded handler. The Aenderungsdienst upload blocks .asp and .aspx but accepts .ashx files, which the underlying IIS server executes as handlers. A valid portal session and upload access are required; successful exploitation compromises the web server and application data.
