Reflected XSS via unvalidated dashboard widget id
Published Aug 23, 2023 · Updated Oct 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in MISP 2.4.174 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via a crafted dashboard edit link. The DashboardsController getForm method accepted the id parameter without validating its characters, allowing markup to reach the dashboard-edit response. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted link; the resulting script can read or modify data available to that browser session.
