CVE-2023-41094Network attack vector

Unauthorized pairing via expired or out-of-range packets

Published Oct 4, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024

Authentication bypass in Silicon Labs EmberZNet 7.1.3 through 7.1.5 and 7.2.0 through 7.2.3 allows remote attackers to pair devices. The TouchLink module continues processing packets after the pairing window expires or when the sender is outside the valid range, retaining a resource beyond its effective lifetime. Network proximity to the Zigbee TouchLink interface is required, and successful exploitation adds an unauthorized device to the network.
