Open redirect via protocol-relative saved request

Open redirect in Apache Tomcat allows remote attackers to send users to attacker-chosen sites through crafted FORM-authentication URLs. FormAuthenticator.savedRequestURL returns a saved request path beginning with multiple slashes, which browsers interpret as a protocol-relative URL. The ROOT web application must use FORM authentication, and user interaction is required; successful exploitation redirects the user without compromising the server.
