CVE-2023-41041Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Post-logout session reuse via node-local cache

Published Aug 30, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024

Session expiration failure in Graylog Open Server 1.0.0 through 5.0.8 and 5.1.0 through 5.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to reuse sessions. Logout deletes the session from the handling node and database but leaves isolated cached copies valid on other cluster nodes. A retained session ID, multiple nodes, and the X-Graylog-No-Session-Extension:true header are required; access lasts only for the configured session lifetime.
