CVE-2023-41027

Authenticated administrator password disclosure via userpasswd endpoint

Published Sep 22, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024

Credential disclosure in Juplink RX4-1500 firmware 1.0.4 and 1.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to read the administrator password. The /webs/userpasswd.htm endpoint inserts the stored administrative password into its HTTP response to an authenticated request. Access requires an authenticated request from an adjacent network, but the disclosed administrator credential enables root-level code execution.
