Remote code execution via device-wide session reuse
Published Sep 5, 2023 · Updated Sep 30, 2024
Session fixation in China Mobile Intelligent Home Gateway HG6543C4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via its web interface. The web interface treats a device-wide logged-in state as authorization, allowing a different host to open protected pages without its own session. Reachability requires another user to be logged in and the attacker to share the gateway's local network; exposed functions include firewall controls.
