Administrator code execution via untrusted update archive
Published Aug 28, 2023 · Updated Oct 2, 2024
Code injection in Pagekit 1.0.18 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code through the administrative updater. UpdateController.php downloads an administrator-supplied ZIP, and SelfUpdater includes requirements.php from that untrusted archive. An administrator session and valid CSRF token are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled PHP with the web server's privileges.
