Stored script execution via cloned module name
Published Sep 15, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored XSS in Webmin 2.100's module-cloning interface allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser. The cloned module name field stores attacker-supplied markup and later renders the value in a module list without HTML neutralization. Module-cloning access is required, and another user must view the affected list for the payload to execute in that user's Webmin session.
