Authenticated arbitrary SQL execution via exposed database methods
Published Sep 14, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
SQL injection in Didotech Engineering & Lifecycle Management 14.0, 15.0, and 16.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL. Public methods in models/base_client.py pass the query argument directly to the database cursor when invoked through the Odoo External API. A portal or internal account is required, after which database reads, data changes, and privilege escalation are possible.
