Arbitrary SQL execution via unsanitized name parameter
Published Sep 14, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
SQL injection in Cloudroits Website Job Search 15.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL through the name parameter. RecruitmentInherit.search_contents in controllers/main.py inserts the unvalidated name value into an SQL query executed directly by the database cursor. The referenced exploit reports that /job/search/ is reachable without authentication, conflicting with the CVE record's authenticated-user classification; successful injection permits database reads, writes, and privilege escalation.
