User data disclosure via unescaped session username
Published Sep 11, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
SQL injection in Schoolmate 1.3 allows remote attackers to read user type and identifier data through the login workflow. ValidateLogin.php copies the POST username into the session and interpolates it without escaping into queries for the users table. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful injection exposes user metadata or interrupts database availability.
