Database read and modification via session userid
Published Sep 11, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
SQL injection in Sourcecodester Doctor Appointment System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data via a crafted doctor login. The doctor login handler copies the submitted userid into the session, and doctors/myDetails.php concatenates that value into SELECT and UPDATE statements without parameterization. A malicious userid must first reach a doctor session; subsequent profile access exposes booking data to unauthorized reads or writes and can interrupt the database service.
