Authenticated code execution via malicious plugin upload
Published Aug 28, 2023 · Updated Oct 2, 2024
Unrestricted plugin upload in Perfree PerfreeBlog 3.1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The administrative plugin manager accepts an attacker-built JAR package, and the PF4J-backed loader runs its embedded code when admin/plugin/access/list is requested. Administrator-level access is required to upload and run the plugin, and successful exploitation executes code with the blog service's privileges.
