Stored XSS via unsanitized account name
Published Nov 18, 2023 · Updated Aug 29, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in openCRX 5.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to modify rendered pages via crafted account names. The Accounts creation form stores a crafted Name value without neutralizing HTML and renders the saved value as markup. Guest-level access is sufficient to create the record, and exploitation requires a user to view the stored account; the demonstrated effect is page-content modification.
