CVE-2023-40732

Session hijacking via reusable logged-out token

Published Sep 12, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025

Insufficient session expiration in Siemens IBS QMS Automotive before 12.39 allows local users to hijack logged-out QMS.Mobile sessions. QMS.Mobile leaves the existing session token valid when its user logs out, permitting the same token to authenticate subsequent requests. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and user interaction; successful reuse exposes or alters data within the hijacked session.
