Database access via sensitive application-server responses

Published Sep 12, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025

Information disclosure in Siemens IBS QMS Automotive before 12.39 allows remote authenticated users to access its database directly. The application server returns sensitive server information in responses, but Siemens has not disclosed the affected endpoint, response field, or request pattern. A low-privileged account and network access to the application server are required; successful exploitation exposes direct database access with confidentiality, integrity, and availability consequences.
