Cleartext credential storage in Fortinet FortiTester 2.3.0 through 7.2.3 allows local users to read external-server passwords. FortiTester writes passwords for configured external servers into its database without encryption, leaving the original plaintext recoverable from stored records. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access to the database contents and exposes those credentials without altering data or interrupting service.
