Arbitrary read and write via V8 type confusion
Published Aug 3, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome before 115.0.5790.170 allows remote attackers to read and write memory via crafted HTML. Google has not published the faulty V8 code path or the incompatible-type operation that produces attacker-controlled memory access. A target must open the crafted page; successful exploitation affects browser-process confidentiality and integrity, with no reported availability impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
