Stored XSS via unsanitized shortcode tag attribute
Published Sep 27, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Baden03 Collapse-O-Matic 1.8.5.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through a shortcode. The shortcode handler accepts an attacker-controlled tag attribute without sufficient sanitization and emits it into stored page markup. Contributor-level access is required, and the payload executes when another user loads the affected content, enabling script actions in that browser session.
