CVE-2023-4066

Credential disclosure via plaintext StatefulSet generation

Published Sep 27, 2023 · Updated Nov 20, 2025

Cleartext credential storage in Red Hat AMQ Broker Operator before 7.11.1 allows local users to read passwords from StatefulSet YAML. When an ActivemqArtemisSecurity resource references a security-properties-prop-module secret, the Operator copies its password values into the generated StatefulSet specification. Any low-privileged user permitted to view that StatefulSet can recover the credentials; integrity and availability are not affected.
