Script execution via unencoded Unified Rendering output
Published Sep 12, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Unified Rendering in SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in another user's browser. Unified Rendering emits attacker-controlled content into web output without proper encoding, allowing the browser to interpret that content as script. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and victim interaction; the executed script can control web-application behavior.
