Code execution via embedded untrusted VBScript
Published Sep 12, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Code injection in SAP PowerDesigner Client 16.7 allows remote attackers to execute VBScript after a user opens a crafted document. The document-opening path passes embedded VBScript to the scripting engine without a prompt or block under the default security setting. Successful exploitation requires user interaction and runs the script with the user's application privileges, allowing data access, modification, or service interruption within that context.
