Unauthorized page creation via unprotected admin-post handler
Published Sep 4, 2023 · Updated Mar 6, 2025
Missing authorization in Cozmoslabs Profile Builder before 3.9.8 allows remote attackers to create three plugin pages. The initial page-creation handler accepts wppb_create_pages and wppb_force_create_pages at WordPress admin-post.php without requiring a valid session, capability check, or CSRF token. The request adds register, log-in, and edit-profile pages to the site; it does not grant an account or an administrative role.
