Remote code execution via tokenless page creation
Published Aug 24, 2023 · Updated Oct 2, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in affected XWiki Platform versions allows remote attackers to execute code through the create action. CreateAction.render accepted a page-creation request without validating the form_token parameter, allowing attacker-controlled title content to execute as script. Exploitation requires a crafted image request to be rendered by a user with script or programming right, after which the attacker can compromise the wiki's data and availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
