SYSTEM code execution via installer-set folder permissions
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Local privilege escalation in LG Simple Editor 3.21.0 allows local users to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM through its installer. The installer assigns overly permissive access to installation folders, but the published advisory does not identify the affected paths or ACL entries.
