Unauthenticated code execution via createThumbnailByMovie command injection
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Command injection in LG Simple Editor 3.21.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code without authentication. The createThumbnailByMovie method passes a user-supplied string to a system call without validating or neutralizing command syntax. A network-reachable service exposes the method, and successful exploitation runs injected commands as SYSTEM with full host control.
