SYSTEM code execution via exposed copyContent function
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Remote code execution in LG Electronics LG Simple Editor 3.21.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code without authentication. The copyContent command exposes a dangerous function to network input, allowing attacker-supplied operations to run in the application's SYSTEM context. Network reachability of the command is sufficient; successful exploitation gives unauthenticated attackers SYSTEM-level control over the host.
