Unauthenticated file disclosure via copyTemplateAll path traversal
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
Path traversal in LG Simple Editor 3.21.0 allows remote attackers to read sensitive files through the copyTemplateAll method. The method uses a caller-supplied path in file operations without restricting it to the intended template directory. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful traversal exposes files readable by the SYSTEM account while leaving integrity and availability unaffected.
