Information disclosure via Doc object over-read
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in PDF-XChange Editor 9.5.368.0 allows remote attackers to disclose process memory through a malicious PDF. JavaScript actions on a Doc object cause the handler to read past the end of its allocated object, exposing adjacent process data. Exploitation requires the target to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page; code execution requires chaining with another flaw.
