Web management interruption via unsanitized authentication input

Published Dec 4, 2023 · Updated May 29, 2025

Denial of service in ACEManager in Sierra Wireless ALEOS 4.16 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt its web interface. The authentication path fails to sanitize crafted input before dereferencing a null pointer, causing ACEManager to restart. No credentials or user interaction are required; other router functions remain available, and ACEManager returns within ten seconds.
