Arbitrary code execution via WebKit use-after-free
Published Jan 10, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025
Use-after-free in WebKit before iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, watchOS 10, macOS 14, and Safari 17 allows remote attackers to execute code. WebKit's web-content processing can access an object after its memory has been released; Apple has not disclosed the affected object or function. Delivery of attacker-controlled web content is required, and successful exploitation executes code in the WebKit process context.
