Order status manipulation via unchecked callback authorization
Published Aug 18, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
Missing authorization in WebToffee Stripe Payment Gateway for WooCommerce 3.7.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter order status. The eh_callback_handler function updates a referenced WooCommerce order without checking whether the unauthenticated caller has the required capability. Any network visitor able to submit a callback for an order can change its workflow state, while the published consequence is limited to order-status integrity.
