View copying via GET-enabled creation endpoint
Published Aug 16, 2023 · Updated Oct 8, 2024
CSRF in Jenkins Folders Plugin 6.846.v23698686f0f6 and earlier allows remote attackers to copy a folder view via a GET request. The AbstractFolder.doCreateView endpoint accepts mode, name, and source parameters and creates the requested view without POST enforcement. Exploitation requires a signed-in victim with View/Create permission to load an attacker-controlled request; the demonstrated consequence is creation of a copied view.
