Authenticated information disclosure via external entity resolution
Published Sep 1, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
XML external entity injection in Lexmark CS310 firmware LW80.VYL.P245 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to extract device information. Lexmark identifies the flaw as XXE but does not disclose the XML-processing endpoint or parser path that resolves attacker-supplied external entities. High-privilege access to the network-reachable device is required, and the documented consequence is information disclosure only.
