CVE-2023-40153Network attack vector

Script execution via unsanitized hostname parameter

Published Oct 19, 2023 · Updated Sep 11, 2024

Cross-site scripting in DEXMA DexGate 20130114 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through the web interface. The web application accepts an XSS payload in the hostname parameter and later renders that value without neutralizing executable script. Access to the authenticated configuration interface is required, and successful exploitation permits script execution in the application context with bounded confidentiality and integrity impact.
