Local privilege escalation via thermal metrics overflow

Out-of-bounds write in the Google Android kernel allows local users to gain elevated privileges through the thermal metrics interface. The temp_residency_name_store function in thermal_metrics.c stores a supplied residency name without checking its destination bounds. A local low-privileged user can trigger the overwrite without user interaction or additional execution privileges, affecting device confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
