Cross-user image disclosure via unchecked RemoteViews URIs
Published Oct 27, 2023 · Updated Sep 9, 2024
Information disclosure in Google Android 11 through 13 allows local users to view another user's images through a malicious Autofill provider. FillUi renders URIs supplied in FillResponse RemoteViews without checking that each URI belongs to the current Android user. A malicious local Autofill provider can exploit this confused-deputy path without user interaction or additional execution privileges.
