Privilege escalation in Google Android 11, 12, 12L, 13, 14, 15, and 16 allows local users to launch background activities. CallRedirectionProcessor fails to finish and unbind a CallRedirectionService when its binding dies, allowing a scheduled activity launch to outlive the service. A malicious call-redirection app can exploit the lifecycle gap without user interaction or additional execution privileges.
