Path traversal in Android MediaProvider 11, 12, 12L, and 13 allows local users to read screenshots through crafted scan paths. The scanner accepted caller-supplied file paths without canonicalizing them, and SCAN_FILE_CALL lacked an internal permission check. A low-privileged local process can exploit this confused-deputy path without user interaction, exposing screenshots without modifying data.
