Local privilege escalation via detached DNS64 thread

A use-after-free in the DNS Resolver in Google Android 11 through 14 allows local users to gain elevated privileges. A detached discovery_thread retains a raw Dns64Configuration pointer after dnsresolver destruction frees the referenced instance and resources. Exploitation requires local code execution but no additional privileges or user interaction, and successful memory corruption grants elevated privileges.
