SYSTEM code execution via untrusted deserialization
Published Feb 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024
Deserialization of untrusted data in SolarWinds Access Rights Manager 2023.2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code. The JsonSerializationHelper class deserializes user-supplied data without proper validation, enabling attacker-controlled code to run as SYSTEM. ZDI reports that the service requires authentication but that its existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
