Unauthenticated agent crash via malformed web requests

Denial of service in PAS for OpenEdge affected releases allows remote attackers to crash a PASOE agent via a malformed web request. Progress identifies the WEB transport and maps the flaw to an out-of-bounds memory-buffer operation, but has not disclosed the parser or exact invalid access. Network access without authentication or user interaction is sufficient; repeated requests can exhaust surviving processing capacity and disrupt many web application clients.
