Unauthorized camera activation via CameraActivity launch
Published Sep 11, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Missing authorization in MyCrops HiGrade "THC Testing & Cannabi" 1.0.337 allows remote attackers to start an Android camera feed. The com.cordovaplugincamerapreview.CameraActivity component accepts an external launch without enforcing camera authorization on Android versions lacking runtime permission checks. Exploitation is limited to Android 5.1.1 API 22 devices consistent with the application's manifest, and the bounded consequence is unauthorized camera activation.
