Expired-token access via unchecked terminal WebSocket messages
Published Aug 23, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
Insufficient session expiration in affected Argo CD releases allows remote authenticated users to retain web terminal access. The terminalSession.Read path accepts WebSocket messages without retaining and revalidating the connection's authentication cookie. An attacker must first open an enabled terminal with authorized high-privilege access; after token expiry, the session still reads sensitive terminal data and accepts commands.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
