CVE-2023-40023Network attack vector

Local file disclosure via default file fuzztags

Published Aug 14, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024

Local file inclusion in Yak Engine before 1.2.4-sp1 allows remote attackers to read local files through crafted fuzztags. The fuzz.Pool path enabled file, file:line, and file:dir handlers by default, passing tag paths to filesystem readers without restricting untrusted templates. Exploitation requires the web-fuzzing workflow to process attacker-controlled content, exposing files readable by the engine process; no integrity or availability impact is reported.
