CVE-2023-40020Network attack vector

Authenticated admin-route modification via premature middleware continuation

Published Aug 14, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024

Improper authentication in Troplo Flowinity before 3.2.49 allows remote authenticated users to alter administrator-only resources. The HighLevel and LowLevel middleware in app/controllers/v3/admin.controller.ts passed next() into authSystem before their role checks could stop route processing. Any signed-in account can reach protected update handlers; denial responses omit route output, limiting reported disclosure from the response itself.
