Published Oct 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authorization bypass in AdvancedCoding wpDiscuz 7.6.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter post ratings through an AJAX request. The userRate function performs the requested rating update without verifying that the unauthenticated caller is authorized for the targeted post. Any network visitor who can reach the rating action can increase or decrease stored post-rating data, with no reported confidentiality or availability impact.
