Unauthorized access via cloneable unencrypted RFID tags
Published Aug 15, 2023 · Updated Oct 8, 2024
Missing RFID encryption in Digoo DG-HAMB Smart Home Security System 1.0 allows physically proximate attackers to clone access tags. Its low-frequency RFID tag exposes a plaintext numeric identifier that the system accepts without cryptographic authentication. Brief proximity to a valid tag lets a phone or dedicated reader copy the identifier to blank tags with the original tag's permissions.
