Administrator credential disclosure via filter-bypass SQL injection
Published Jul 31, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
SQL injection in Advantech iView before 5.7.4 build 6752 allows remote authenticated users to retrieve administrator credentials. ConfigurationServlet passes the nUseCustomDescription value into a database expression after CUtils.checkSQLInjection() can be bypassed, enabling blind queries. A valid iView account and network access to the web service are required; exploitation reads the stored administrator password.
